Description
The Department of Dermatology at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is seeking a qualified allergy/immunology physician at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Appointment track will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The allergy/immunology program offers full-service outpatient care, including spirometry, skin testing, sinus endoscopy, immunotherapy and drug desensitization. Our clinic is the only known academic center in the nation to offer oral immunotherapy for food allergy outside of the research setting. We are involved in clinical trials and NIH funded research, including programs for asthmatic children on the Navajo Nation and development of novel methods of detection for eosinophilic esophagitis. Two to three medical assistants per MD allows for excellent clinical productivity and team-based care. Supportive, well-developed departmental infrastructure enables great opportunity for innovation, patient-centered service, research, and growth.
Candidate will join an academic allergy/immunology practice of 6 established allergist/immunologists within the Department of Dermatology. The University of Utah Department of Dermatology is one of the largest in the country, with over 57 faculty, 11 residents, 1 fellow, and 10 advanced practitioners.
