Reports to: Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Foundation

Starting Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

About the Organization: The Arizona Council of Human Service Providers (the Council) is a non-profit 501(c)(6) membership-based organization that provides advocacy and support to over 100 member agencies. Our members pay annual dues, and they consist of Behavioral Health, Whole Person Integrated Health Care, Substance Use, Child Welfare, and Juvenile Justice Providers across Arizona. We also have a 501(c)(3) arm called the Arizona Foundation for Human Service Providers (the Foundation), which provides training, education, and technical assistance/support to the members of the Council and the community at large.

About Collective Impact for Child Safety & Well-Being: Co-Chaired by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family and Prevent Child Abuse Arizona, the Arizona Collective Impact initiative for Child Safety and Well-Being was formed in 2016 with the intention to bring cross-sector partners together to improve the lives of children and families in Arizona. At its core, the effort aims to ensure “All children and families throughout Arizona are safe, stable, and flourishing.”

 The initiative has adopted a working structure aligned to the Results Based Accountability framework. In this structure, the work is guided by an 11-member Core Team responsible for setting direction and building capacity for the work. In addition to the Core Team, Action Teams are formed with community members with lived and learned expertise to develop solutions around specific areas of focus. In these teams, community members come together to engage in short-cycle improvement work that identifies, tests, and scales what’s working in service of the effort’s desired end result.

Position Description

About this Role: The Arizona Collective Impact for Child Safety and Well-Being initiative is seeking a dynamic Director of Community Collaboration to support and expand the work of this cross-sector, multi-organization collaboration. In this full-time role, the Director of Community Collaboration will undertake a variety of program management and capacity-building duties, including the planning, implementation, and advancement of various systems and programs that help advance solutions related to child safety and well-being. The position will support the mission and vision of the effort by working with various stakeholders and community members at the local, state, and national levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong background in project management, effective collaboration, and a passion for equity, social justice, and sustainable solutions.


  • Responsibilities
    • Maintain a smooth, timely workflow across active projects to ensure preparation is thorough, deadlines are met, and lines of communication stay open.
    • Oversee the coordination, facilitation and support of both CICSW Core Team and Action
    • Team project implementation.
    • Effectively facilitate both large and small groups with diverse missions and strategies, and help drive towards common, cohesive action; navigate, address and resolve obstacles or conflict that might arise in a professional and effective manner.
    • Support culture-building among and across different teams.
    • Conduct research on client-specific content and context, including trends and best practices; determine where opportunities for improvement strategies live that will increase sustainability and scalability.
    • Provide subject-matter guidance to the Committee in ways that enhance efficiency, effectiveness and teamwork.
    • Authentically engage community members and stakeholders in the work of CICSW (surfacing solutions, decision-making, implementation, etc.).
    • Raise awareness of the mission and vision of the CICSW and champion the work at the local, state and national level.
    • Help create project budgets and monitor projected vs. actual budget performance using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
    • Build and maintain robust CICSW presence and engagement on business social media

    • Is skilled at multitasking and is able to manage multiple programs and tasks at a time.
    • Is goal-driven, a professional problem solver, and has solid experience in a leadership position.
    • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; maintains a strong knowledge of researching and report writing, and is able to communicate this information to the Committee, Action Teams and community stakeholders in a clear and transparent manner.
    • Holds oneself to high standards of professional performance and personal integrity.
    • Is able to provide feedback on the success and/or failure of certain projects and activities; sees mistakes as inevitable and as opportunities to make improvements and drive forward progress.

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field OR 8-10 years of equivalent sector-relevant experience for non-degreed applicants.
    • Proven experience in a project management position.
